SYAFANA ISLAMIC SCHOOL MEETINGS
A meeting is a common method for monitoring progress, as it provides a regular forum to discuss accomplishments, challenges, and next steps. Our meetings allow for real-time feedback, issue identification, and the opportunity to make necessary adjustments to keep a project on track.
Regular meetings are not
inherently useless, but they can become unproductive if they lack a clear
purpose, agenda, and action items. When meetings are well-run, they are
essential for alignment, decision-making, and problem-solving; however, when
they are poorly managed, they can be a significant waste of time and money.
We have two different meetings, management
meetings and unit meetings. Management meetings focus on high-level strategic
planning, decision-making, and organizational performance, involving top
leaders, while unit meetings are typically for team-level updates, task
coordination, and general communication, involving a broader range of teachers.
Our unit meetings are led by a principal or vice principals.
Another important meeting in our
school is a management meeting. This is a structured gathering of chiefs of units
to discuss strategy, make high-level decisions, set priorities, and ensure
alignment toward foundation goals. These meetings bring together chiefs of
units, and team leaders to foster coordination, address significant operational
or strategic issues to drive overall organizational success.
Our Managing Director leads the
meeting most of the time. Our chairperson and advisory board usually accompany
him in our regular management meetings on Monday. From Monday to Monday, we are
given challenges, different units with different challenges.
These meetings are quite
important in order to ensure effective coordination across different units.
The board would also love to hear the progress we have made. Discussions often
centre on high-level topics such as financial health, growth opportunities, key
performance indicators, curriculum development, school building maintenance,
supporting units’ role and resource allocation. The meetings aim to produce
clear decisions, actionable items, and a shared understanding of priorities and
objectives for the foundation.
These management meetings ensure that all leaders are on the same page regarding the foundation's direction and
goals. They also provide a forum for making crucial high-level decisions that
affect the entire foundation.
